I have received a few requests for email notifications when a new post drops, so I have added that feature. Please see the newly updated Privacy Policy for details on how I will handle things should you provide me with your email address. In short,

• I only ask for a valid email address (no names),
• I follow a strict two-step sign-up procedure (you must click a link in an email to complete the sign-up),
• I have an honest-to-FSM one-click unsubscribe.
  • If you click the link, your email address will be perma-blocked, so please make sure you mean it.

As noted in the privacy policy, I would prefer you use email masking, but if I get hacked or subpoenaed, all they get is an email address.

I am using an open-source program called phplist to handle things. While it’s described as email marketing software, I am not enabling analytics, click tracking, etc. It will simply send you an email regarding the new post soon after I publish it.

Another Option

I mentioned the email updates first because they’re the lightest lift for most, but I also have an RSS feed you can subscribe to if you know about such things. If you would like to learn about RSS, read this. If doing so encourages you to try it out, I recommend Fluent Reader, a privacy-focused, cross-platform RSS reader for desktops. For iOS, I use NetNewsWire, and for Android, I hear good things about Feeder.
