If you only come to browse

This is a read-only website. Comments or media uploads are not allowed, and cookies are not set. Google has no place here. The only data collected is your IP address, which is stored in the web server logs for seven days. I can’t turn this off as it’s the default of my web hosting provider, but I do not look at or process them in any way, and they claim they won’t either. If you aren’t happy with your IP being logged, I would suggest using a good VPN to mask your IP. I heartily recommend ProtonVPN, which has fantastic privacy policies and offers free and paid options. 

I will not post any embedded media to avoid third-party tracking disasters such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc. Any links I post will open in a new tab, and if you follow them, you are subject to the destination’s privacy policy. 

As I don’t collect data, no sharing is involved with third parties. I cannot speak for the NSA and its data gathering and retention rules, but it’s a good bet that the record of your visit to this site and all others will be living in Utah for the foreseeable future. Don’t like that? Go support politicians and organizations that will put a stop to it. 

If you sign up for email notifications

If you choose to sign up to be notified via email of new posts, I will have your email address (duh), but that’s it. I don’t require a name to accompany it, so your exposure is limited. I would appreciate it if you would use a private email service to generate a one-time email so there is even a further layer of separation, but it’s up to you. Being self-hosted means I don’t share your email address with anyone else, and I offer a true one-click unsubscribe.
